Default Who plays Baseball or Softball?

Ok I'm asking this on all of the forums I belong to just to get a general idea for a project I'm doing.

Who here plays Baseball or Softball semi competitively. What I mean is you play atleast a 1 or twice every week or so. Now you dont have to be on a team or anything, you just need to play a competitive game. If you do play, do you wear any protective gear other than a helmet and or jockstrap? Things like thumb protectors, sliding shorts, wrist guards, etc.

If you do wear gear please post what.

Nope, I wear the jock strap and when I'm hitting, I wear a helmet. Anything else , IMO, just slows you down and feels awkward.

You should wear the gears, never know when you might get hit by a ball on you head

Yeah I have heard a few people say that as well, the only things I wear is an elbow guard because I had my elbow shattered a few years ago.

I don't really playing baseball. It seems boring to me, but hey if I'm not mistaken it is the most popular sport in th US. (not regarding NASCAR) Some refer it to " the gentlemens' sport."

Or, the thinking man's game... I love the fact that it seems to be a lot like chess is some ways, managers making moves and the managers countering with other moves... Ooooh, so great.

Anyway, I don't personally play right now, but I used to 5 or 10 years ago... I've kinda been thinking about getting involved again.
