View Single Post - memory upgrade on my toshiba equium laptop. please help!

hi, first post here. i was wanting to upgrade my toshiba equium m50-216 memory from 512mb, to atleast 1.5gb, possibly 2gb. anyway im not totally sure what memory upgrades will work with my laptop. from a website which lists the exact spec of the laptop it says that it is DDM ram, type 2. so therefore i was wondering if this type of upgrade woul be compatible with my laptop. http://www.memorybits.co.uk/shop/com...800d2n51g/5486
i have used crucial.com, but the proposed upgrades are really expensive there. any help much appreaciated.
i was also wanting to upgrade my hard drive space (40gb doesn't go far) and again, was wondering of this would work with my laptop http://www.it247.com/Product/59-MK16...B_SATA_300.htm

also is there anything else i can do to improve the performance of my laptop??
