Default Questions on Building My Own Computer

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I specifically came here to ask questions on building my own computer. I am in desperate need of a new computer because the current computer I have now is basically crap and seriously needs to be trashed.

I need a computer that I can run multitasking programs such as Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver, Sony Vegas, video editing, etc. I could also say that I'm a casual gamer, so I think a sufficient graphics card would do.

The problem, though, is that I have no clue which hardware would be best for what I will use this computer for. I'm also a poor student and need to be on a budget. I heard that if I do my research, I can get a nicely built computer for a lot less than buying a computer from Dell, etc.
Would anyone be kind enough to give me a specific list of parts I need to start building my own computer? I also do not plan on building this computer myself; I think I'll go to a computer deli or something and have them build it for me.
Let me know...thanks.

Yes, I'm in the United States. I'd say my budget would be around $1000, wouldn't mind if it was a couple hundred dollars above or even better--less. Thanks.

Yeah, I'd have to say I'd need a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. And I'd probably need an OS for this new computer. BTW, I have 0 parts to even build a computer. Right now I'm just feeling it out and asking questions to see what it'd be like and what parts I'd need and stuff.

Something like this would do the trick for what you want, if you have extra cash i suggest you to get the 8800 gts ( around 270$) since it'll be a lot better than the 8600 GT and you could probably change some things or get a better monitor, etc.

This sounds like a stupid question, but does that list include internet connectivity ports, USB ports, etc. Also would I be able to add bluetooth to it?

Well for the os, you can but most of the stuff you plan to run it wouldn't run and for the internet connectivity, they're integrated in the mother board ( the 56k modem isn't included but well i doubt you'll need it since you probably have dsl or cable or wireless) and not really sure about the bluetooh.
