Default replacement fan

Okay I got a free replacement fan for Nvidia GeForce 7950GT, but it looks the samething. I notice the replacement fan have no LEDs which was share same wires to fan in my one month old fan.

Which will run cooler, case on or off? I have no liquid cooler or is the better way to blow cooler air into video card fan? I dont what plastic get warp again on video card.

Make sure to apply a thermal compound to the GPU before putting the fan on, That could be the reason the previous fan warped.

Having the case on will generally be cooler, as it creates an airflow like environment.
