ATI was well ahead of NVidia on seeing drivers readily available for Vusta even on the less then performance type models. The price tags on the 8600 and 8800 model lines exceed the price range there. But the latest models would be the closest to consider Vista ready. EVGA and BFG are good makes but are only seeing the 7300 and 7600 models for under $150CA among both NVidia and ATI cards by different brands at http://www.memoryexpress.com/index.p...x_menu=193&SID=

Theres alot of cards Vista capable, but if your buying a new card for newer games and Vista I would not get anything under a 8600GTS but your not doing that with 140 bucks!

You can find a 7900gs for around $150. But a good DX10 card for under $140 USD is quite impossible.

On Vista here games like Half Life and it's Source powered sequels of HL2 and Episode One along with Fear and Prey run on a lower end ATI model at 1280x1024. Except for Creative's delay with Vista ready sound drivers both HL2 and Prey ran quite well without DX9 installed. Fear won't install without 9c however. That is mandatory for that game. Metal of Honor: Allied Assault simply would not install when tried.
