Default 8800gts vista driver question

See I just upgraded to vista and I want to play some games and I kept the games installed now when I try to play marvel ultimate allience or any game for that matter it says directx 9c missing installing could help or whatever, now I am currently using directx 10 drivers but arnt they suppose to work with 9 also any help is apprecaiated

Well you let it install it, I had to do that for FEAR as well. I don't think it affects it, when I run dxdiag, it still says DX10.

yeah your right it still says I have directx 10 and I just install directx 9c o well cool thanx

You just need to re-install the latest DX9.0c update.

I don't know, but FEAR seems to be running abit slower on vista than on XP for me. Maybe its because Vista is a resource hog.

elitehacker, its because vista in most games cuts down frames like crazy
