Default Vista Retail on Multiple PCs???

I have been reading up on the differences between Vista OEM and retail and understand that the retail version lets you install it multiple times if you upgrade your pc. What I want to know is whether or not it allows you to install on multiple pcs running simultaneously. Can I buy one copy and install it on three different computers or is this illegal? Do I need to buy it three times because that would really suck . I'm sure the answer is obvious but I just want to be certain.

It is illegal to run one license on multiple computers.

Yup, it's obvious. Gotta cough up the cash for three copies. And yes, that admittedly does suck.

As everyone's said, you need additional licences.

There is the Additional Licensing Program, which offers a slight discount: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...e/default.mspx

You may also find the Family Discount useful:
