Default video Card is MESSED up, Beyond Repair?

hey guys,

i am having issues once again. When i turn my computer on it starts just fine until the get the the Windows loading screen. (the one where you can choose which profile you want to use, like mom, dad, cousin) you know. Well when i get the that screen the blue color comes up but none of the profile names nor the little welcome sign shows up. After 10-15 seconds the computer just stops displaying it and it says No Signal Detected on the monitor, although the computer is still on. I have been having a lot of issues with my video card, has it finally wore itself out?

By the way its an EVGA 7800GT thats a year and a half old. so i would hate to see it go

When you say it's still running, are you sure about that? Can you say press the power button and it shut down proporly, or is it locked up? If it works, it could be the video card, but I wouldn't limit yourself to that just yet. Other components(such as the power supply) could cause seemingly video related problems.

Have you tried safe mode? It can be a driver problem.
