Freelancer Still Alive?

Does anyone still play Freelancer out there? I bought the game a long time ago and have been playing online for about 2 years....and after looking through all the servers I see that at one time there were many...but now most are closed.
I play on the NQ and have played on the Void, both have their perks and let downs but generally helps the time go by when Im not working.
Do you think they will ever make a part 2, it seems that this game had a huge following at one time....and I have seen bad games have a second title, why not a good one?

I think is abit outdated. I finished the game's storyline and got bored after that, because its the same thing over and over again.

If you play the multiplayer world it is still evolving. The servers are always releasing new mods. Me and some guys are working on a new mod for a new server upcoming.
