O.k i am having trouble with my internet connections but i am putting it in here because i think the root of the problem is either spyware or a virus.
in my "network connections" a new dial up connection keeps appearing and setting itself as default. it dials this number "08448010024". i have no idea how this is happening - i have ran ad aware 2007, and avg 7.5 with full definitions...anyone got any ideas please, it would help so much. Rob |

try using Spybot S&D, or spyblaster. Sometimes 1 anti spyware doesnt catch it, but by the symptoms of it, it looks like a dialer program.

Yeah, a dialer, hmm... okay run the Spybot Search and Destroy, then run CCleaner. That could possibly fix your problem.

and regarding the download manager. it is because i am one of the unfortunate people left on dial up, so if i wanna download anything bigger than a jpg, i usually have to drop the link and reconnect internet after two hours....(i know d-managers are not very safe but i have no choice),, Broadband in november...wooop Rob |
