Settle This One Please!

I know pentiums are better than a celeron but by how much? My frien says I cant play games because I have a celeron it's a new one celeron D 2.93GHZ and he thinks his will out perform mine but he onle has a P4 1.6GHZ but its overclocked and we both have 256mb video cards and 512mb ram so you tell me whoes computer will play games better mine or his and why?

Your celeron will outperform his pentium by far, but how much did he overclock his. I have a celeron myself and at your speeds your should be the better one.But what is yours and his fsb. Your friend is just bragging, I think the Celeron D is gunna outperform his pentium dont let him tell you its not because when you go to a lan and he is slow and you are fast you can rub it in his face.

My fsb is 533MHZ I dont know what his is or how much he over clocked it but he thinks that a pentium will run twiceas fast as a celeron thats why he thinks his 1.6ghz will out perform my 2.93!

your FSB is 133 but the FSB on his pentium is 100. Your friend is just talking big, your Prescott Celeron is far superiour to his Williamette P4

ya i have a friend just liek that who said that this computer phd guy came over his house and benchmarked and tested his comp (733mhz 384 ram 16 mb vid card) and he said its that the phd guy said that it was a wonderful comp and its JUST the vid card and it made me chuckle (dont flame on me for be nasty to my friend u dont no em and he lies bout every thing)

i think people shouldnt be able to talk about computers without passing some sort of test, your mate who thinks his pentium will out perform your celeron is dreaming, people like that give computing a bad name.

sounds to me like your friends mouth is bigger than his processor, your should outperform his hands down
