Default Best laptop for these specs

I'm going to college in the fall and I need a laptop with these specs. I don't want it to cost an arm and a leg, but I'll pay what I have to to get a good computer. I need something that I can carry easily and has good battery life.

Specs for laptop: http://www.bagley.msstate.edu/prospe...ions/index.php

I used to reccomend Dell, but I have had a lot of problems with this Dell laptop recently so i wouldnt reccomend them any longer. I would look into Asus or Acer. Also that Dell posted above only has a 256mb graphics card, your link reccomended 512mb if you are going into a field which requires graphics work. You can expect to pay a few hundred more if you feel you'll need that. Also look around online for coupons. You can use google to type in, "laptop coupons" or "asus coupons," you catch my drift I think. Anyway, can sometimes find coupons which will save you hundreds of dollars. Also I would head top an actual store to test some of the laptops you are considering. Good luck with your search!
