Also I know Quad core is better then Dual core but whats this 65nm vs 45nm thing and is it worth the money? Also I would prefer Intel over AMD and NVidia over ATI.

SLi/Crossfire is not worth the money. Upgrading to a SLi motherboard (if it's the 680i) will limit your upgrades on the CPU.
You may disagree on the Q6600, but I think it's a fine choice.
