how to install a secend hard drive

how do I install a secend HD on my E Machine its a 40 GB as is the one already in both have XP

You can get an IDE cable with support for two hdd's. You then set one hdd, usually the one with the OS on it, as the master drive, with the jumper on the back of the hdd, and you plug that hdd into the ide cable on the master port. You then set the other drive as a slave and plug it into the ide cable on the slave port. Plug the end of the ide cable that goes into the mobo into the mobo.
