Why still use Disc? it scratch!

why technology not moving foward in the duration/endurance department? disc wont last long and cannot guarantee last long.... due cuz its scratch! and wont read!

I made a mistake of buying a sony mavica digital camera that uses mini discs..... it scratch! and wont read! also the camera itself has problem reading! i had to lean the camera down for it to read. I should of got the memory stick instead!

why cant movies media technology use a form like memory stick? or small memory card like ps2 memory card? it never scratch! why cant use that kind of form and have lots of capacity like the size of blu ray and hd dvd but in a form of memory stick/memory card????

im tired of backing up my DISCS! sometimes i forgot to backup.... it scratch.... lost forever! even my ps2 disc cant play! due to scratch!

why not abandon disc?????

also why stop using floppy disc form???? why use disc form now???? floppy disc is secure from scratch! why not make a enhance version of the floppy disc form?
