Unhappy P4 2.53 CPU Runs at 92C Idle? Help?

hey, just got this new chip/board. i am running this p4 2.53 cpu chip on a intel fan up to 3.2ghz, and MBM5 + Speedfan report this as 92c idle, *havnt tried under load dont dare*. im on it now, everything works ok etc etc. except obv i not been on games.
when i first start the pc and go to bios-pc health it says the cpu is on 42C which seems normal, i guess windows heats it up 50C to 92C or something, but anyways im going to pc world to get a bigger fan tomorrow, do you think its the problem? anything to try to see if the heat reports are wrong and i dont need a new fan and i can finally play my games again

regards
thanks for any help in advance
scott

is your mobo/bios pll chip supported by those two apps? i doubt windows heats it up to 92oC. put your hand in /dont touch the fans! and feel how hot it is.
