Half Life 2 + Garry's Mod = A lotta fun

I saw ADE's movie which utilizes HL2 and Gmod, I thought that was so cool. So, I am going to try some stuff. I just ordered HL2 and not Episode 1, I downloaded Deathmatch and Gmod 9. I am waiting to install when the game gets here.

Does anyone else do this?

I play hl2 DM but I don't really know what Gmod is.

Gmod is Garry's Mod. Gmod10 costs money though via steam, but is worth it IMO.

Install HL2, Install Gmod, Install the Wiremod?

Do you mean construct new objects or construct big contraptions from existing objects?

Edit: My very own Gmod10 monstrosity. Sorry about the stupid weld tool taking up half the screen

Btw. It's the buggy with radiators for armour plating. Traffic cones for...something. And its strapped with about 30 autocannons and 10 rocket boosters. Despite its appearance it was still drivable and I used it to mow through a field of nearly 100 zombies and antlions
