Creative Labs has one or more usb sound devices to substitute for internal sound cards if that's the type of sound device you are looking for. I can show you the company's product page here while you would need to look through the vendors in the U.K. there to see if they are what you are looking for and available.

First the main prodict page for the U.S. company is seen at http://us.creative.com/products/

The Xmod is the first of two usb devices looked at that works with Vista as well as XP. http://us.creative.com/products/prod...ct=15913&nav=2

The second is the Sound Blaster Live 24bit model seeing Vista updates at http://www.soundblaster.com/products...ct=10702&nav=3
