hey guys, i need help with chemistry...which i suck at

3)Explain in words and calculations how you determined the number of moles of Mg (magnesium) and O (oxygen) that reacted. How did you determine their molar ratio and their accepted molar ratio?

Mass of Mg reacted = .3g
moles of MG reacted = 8mol

help meh please
