I'm already a Microsoft Office Specialist in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, , I did that my senior year

well I don't think any of that is required, they want certs in: preinstallment of OEM products, Network deployment and related techs, and sharepoints.

I am not sure of all the benefits because I don't work retail or in sales nor am I a system builder. However, there are obviously benefits to joining otherwise they wouldn't have the program.

My God...Those requirements are crazy, you have to be employed with or by/contracted an exclusive Microsoft Specialist. Or you can have some type of packaged software, or piece of hardware that meets Windows logo testing.

I just wanted a reduced price for OS's, lol.

or have an employee with the proper certs to qualify. It's not that easy but then again it shouldn't be either. If it was that easy to get, every idiot would be a Certified Microsoft Partner.

Yeah, that's true, some wouldn't know what to do with the products and tools. Having the Office Specialist certifications which were obtained at a local college made me look more professional.
