Hi i want to speed up my torrents and i heard about port forwarding. I tried doing it but when i would type in my default gateway that i got from ipconfig in the command prompt into my browser it would give me the usual page could not be found error. My computer is plugged into a 5 port ethernet mini switch... i dont really know what that is but my guess is its like an extension cable but for ethernet chords. That plugs directly into my modem. Can i even do port forwarding? And if so how would i do it if im plugged into a modem.
