Default Internet problems

Recently, it seems very 'unstable'. At times it would work and at times it wouldn't. I have to refresh a few times to make a page appear. It seems over time that it gets worse and worse. The only way to make it better is to unplug the router, wait half a minute and plug it back in. It would work fine for the first 5 minutes but then it would start to have problems. I am forced to repeatedly unplug the router and plug it back in to be able to surf around the internet.

Did a little research and it says my problem could be the DNS. I'm not sure how to fix it or if its the problem at all.

Any help will be appreciated.

it could be also caused by some spyware. try to make a test with some antispyware program.

if you have dsl it could also be that your modem is loosing the dsl lock, if it is dsl that you have keep an eye on the light, blinking of the dsl light is bad.

I am not using DSL but my cable modem has all solid lights except for the one that says Link. The modem is from Aris if that helps at all.

is the link light refering to the network connection, if so that's probably ok that it blinks simply meaning there is data transfer.
