Default Dual boot Vista/Xp performance?

For those of you who have a dual boot setup with xp/vista, how is it running so far?.. I can get vista for cheap(through student store), but I am still a little cautious as to I have no reason(until crysis or hellgate). DHas having it dual boot on separate hard drives affected anything performance wise?

Thanks for any input.

dual boot has absolutely no performance effect on the operating system. if you have a slow computer and dual boot, the operating systems will run slow. if you have a slow computer and one OS, it will run slow.

if you can afford it, get it. its all the rage in paris.
