Default Problem with C&C3 PC.

Having problem with my Command and Conquer 3 on my PC. Got it today, installed it, when I go to play, the EA sign comes up (with no sound, not sure if it's normal, but it does seem odd, usually it has some eerily cool sound). Then once the EA logo has gone, I'm left with a blank screen, wait a few minutes, and it's still like that. So I alt + ctrl + del to close C&C, which takes ages in itself for some reason. I have downloaded the newest patch, 1.05 which makes no difference.

The specs of my comp are;
AMD64 x2 4600 2.4ghz
ASUS M2N-E mobo
2x1gig DDR2-800 RAM
XFX GEFORCE 7900GS
2x 250gig SATA2

My comp isn't even six months old yet, do virus scans every three days or so.

Any suggestions please? Thanks heaps.

Michael.

I looked quickly in the EA support and here is a link concerning crashes after the splash screen and here is one for lock ups and freezes.
And here is a link to the support section.

I hope this helps as I haven't encountered that kind of problem myself.

I looked here this morning, and didn't have time to try any of these solutions so I gave it one more go, and this time it worked. Which is more of a worry then a releif, but hope it doesn't happen again.

Maybe theres a problem with your game? Can you exchange it for another copy perhaps?

It's a paid for copy, and there are no marks on the disk at all. I am going to get a crack for it and see what that does.
