1. How do I burn 700mb avi files to a 700mb cd ?
2. How do I burn 700mb avi files to a 4.7 gb dvd ? I'm really more interested in burning them to cd's. I would like to learn both methods though. I know I can just burn the AVI files as data but that will only play on divx dvd players. I heard I need to convert the AVI to a VCD but I don't know how. I also picked this up during my research. VCD=MPEG SVCD=MPEG2 AVI=MPEG4 Most dvd players play VCD's While only the newer dvd players play divx/avi. Correct me if I am wrong. Help me thanks |

A VCD is MPEG... All the specs can be found here.
http://www.videohelp.com/ I don't understand your top questions... Regardless of the file, you just burn it to a disk like anything else. I use Deepburner for most everything. If you want to make an actual VCD, you do need some other software. I've not made one in ages but VideoHelp should have something you could use. I make DVDs more than anything now and use TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 to make them. Yes, most players will play VCDs, but I have found more expensive ones tend NOT to like VCDs or home-made DVDs. And not all newer players will play Divx, only if they are certified to.

What I meant was
1.My movie files are AVI, and I want to burn them on a cd as VCD files ? I have TMPGEnc and SUPER but don't have a clue how to use them........ Can you help me, or I will search for a guide to use them. __________________________________________________ ______ I think I found the answer for number 1. I think I found the way. http://www.filepedia.com/video_softw...todvd_free.cfm It does take long, but hopefully it works. It takes about an hour to encode/convert the avi files to mpeg2. I am trying it right now. I will get back. With this program you can convert AVI files to MPEG2 and so on. Then you can burn the MPEG2 files to VCD on a regular CD. To burn AVI files to a DVD just use NERO VISION, real simple. peace brb |
