Default Live Update problem

Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with the Live Update module of my Norton 360 security suite. Norton indicates error 1000 and says:

I get these very frequently.

Is Norton 360 known to have issues with Vista? And is it compatible with Vista anyways?

I dont believe norton has written a verson that is compatable with vista earlier then the newest 2k7 that just came out. IMO i would get rid of norton and go for avast of avg but this sounds like you may have a corrupt file tried reinstalling the program yet? Or repairing its install? Calling their support people? Updating the program?

Norton 360 is compatible with Vista. I can't update the program since LiveUpdate doesn't work :s

Is this the error you get when you try to do live update? This almost seems like a worm that turns live update off. Have you tried to manually update the definatations from symantec's site? You can download them and install them from there and also can redownload and reinstall the newest version of live update.
