lol @ those who say there is no long term affect. if there are no long term effects of pot then there are no long term effects of cigarettes.
the difference between the two is that cigarettes have more chemicals in them, yes, but hardly any of those make a difference, the huge thing is that both raise your blood pressure (pot 4x more than cigarettes) and built up tar in your lungs and trachea. the funny part is that pot is actually WORSE for you because of the method it is smoked: cigarettes, although usually smoked more often, are casually dragged from and breathed out, whereas with pot, you breathe it in and hold for as long as you can so as to absorb more THC from the smoke. this means your lungs are exposed to the smoke for much longer (and lungs are not designed to withstand smoke, that's why you cough when you first start smoking... it's a natural reaction to get the harmful substance out of your body.) and to those who say there is no long term effects, i'll show you my mom. she has never smoked a cigarette in her life but has immense breathing problems and cognition from smoking pot as a hippie (yes pot, over time, can slow cognition, although it's not extremely common.)
