Default Good sound card

I need some advice regarding a soundcard, right now im using vista and im a type of person that like to enjoy music a lot and respect a sound clarity.
Right now i have soundblaster audigy value, its my first soundcard so i dont expect much from it and i have a good speaker, its altec lansing fx4021.
So if i want to upgrade my soundcard which one do you recommend? Is my soundcard already good enough, or even my onboard soundcard surpass my audigy it a realtek alc888 hd, Im on a tight budget get though. You can see my detailed spec on my sig.
