WinRAR/WinZIP wont extract

winRAR or winZIP wont extract anything larger than 4gb, can anyone help? plz

That's a pretty huge archive file.

Now, I don't know which method of extraction you are trying (ie: right-clicking and choosing Extract Here or Extract To..., or if you are opening the archive inside winrar or winzip). I would suggest you try to extract the archive in pieces if you can. If the archive contains a bunch of files, try opening it in the program and just extracting a few folders or files at a time until you get it all out.

If it is all one file inside the archive, then I don't know what to suggest.

make sure you are not running windows 9x or fat32. pretty sure that's your problem. upgrade to ntfs windows xp or vista. or find a copy of 2000.

fat 32 has a filesize limit of < 4gb

probably extracting one huge image of something.
