Question How do I switch memory from one ram stick to another?

Hi I just thought of this. I have 2 ram slots in my comp and 1 has a 256mb stick in it. I just bought 2 512 mb sticks from kingston. I am wondering if I switch my 256 out and put in 2 512 will I lose all the info stored on my 256 or will it transfer to the new sticks?

:-) Just switch em there's nothing to worry about. switch off your system and nothing is stored on the sticks.
