I just installed an excellent free video editor for Linux called Kdenlive. Here is the homepage: http://kdenlive.org/ I haven't found anything near as good for Linux or Windows (no, it doesn't work on Windows). You can have tons of video and audio tracks. If you are in need of some good free video editing software you should give Kdenlive a try.
