I recently bought a video card from them, and it turns out that it's for whatever reason not compatible with my computer. I figured this wouldn't be a problem as I could just return it.
WRONG! Apparently this item is non-returnable. However, NOWHERE does it say this, unless I check "Returns Availabilty", where it says "Returns NOT accepted". How in the heck was I supposed to know this prior to purchasing it? It's not listed ANYWHERE. In fact, NO item is listed as returnable or not returnable. Tiger Direct just simply states that some items are returnable while others are not. How was I supposed to know whether or not my item was returnable? Was I supposed to call? Should I now call EVERY store I wish to buy something from prior to purchase just to make sure that the item is returnable. I just don't get it. Why can't they list the return availability in every item description? This is the ONLY store I've come across that doesn't do this. It's like they're purposely setting it up to screw over customers. How in the heck do they get return customers? The ironic part is that despite this being a store that sells high tech equipment, their website (specifically the return system) is so poorly implemented. For whatever reason, I was issued an RMA number stating that the item was incompatible. However, only after did I find out that returns aren't accepted. It's funny; it says "Status: Authorized for return", but two spaces over, it says "Returns NOT Accepted". So which is it? Needless to say, I'll NEVER be shopping with them again. I'm now stuck with a useless video card. Although it was cheap, it's $37 I'll never see again. Here's the stinking item: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...4653&body=MAIN |

Wouldn't that be your fault, if you bought a video card and its not compatible with your computer?
Its now their job to question every customer if the product they are about to purchase will work with there computer.

I have returned all kinds of stuff to them with no problem, but all the stuff I returned was tore up or DOA. Never tried returned something because I just ordered the wrong thing. Pretty sure you should be able to, you might have to pay a restocking fee. Just call there 1-800 number and talk to someone.

My problem isn't so much that they won't return it. It's that they don't state that until AFTER you purchase the item. If they won't accept returns for this product, fine. But they should state that IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION! Why don't they do that? I can see no reason other than to screw over customers. EVERY other store I've ever dealt with (and many that I haven't), state up front which items are returnable (most of the time in the item description). This store, however, does not. It's a scam, pure and simple. |

I've bought things from them before and everything worked great, but not like Newegg. Although I never had to return anything to them.
