Unhappy deleting message in outlook express

The problem i have is that i canīt delete a half of all the messages in the outlook express inbox. Other options such as moving to other folders are well, but after moving i still canīt delete them. Thanks Bkupfer

it's a common error ONLY if you have lots of mails, so do you have lot of mails ?
having lots of mails can corrupt the dbx files and outlook express itself

I have the solution, Thanks all.
Maybe you have too many messages in these folders.
If you are using almost any Windows version other than Vista, turn off the connection to the internet. Open OE. Click File|Folder|Compact all Folders. When finished you can turn the connection to the internet back on, but perhaps reboot.
Any better success?
If indeed the problem is too many messages, another action to take (before the above) is to create new folders (like "Old Messages1, 2, etc.) in OE and move messages you use seldomly there. That could solve the problem, but Compacting usually is also adviseable.

Note the role of Folders.dbx.
P.S. If after deleting you find you have lost any messages, you may find them in the Recycle Bin in .bak files.
