Can anyone recommend a good cooling heat sink + fan (I don't want to deal with liquids... I don't much care for the idea of water flowing through my PC)?
I've been looking at some on newegg, trying to find one with a high CFM. I have the one that came with my P4 3Ghz right now. I'm not looking to spend much money... I plan on getting a really nice cooling system some other time... I just need one that will work for now |

Another question, Can you overclock with your mobo? Some mobos, like mine, the retarded Intel DG965WH, have the options locked up. What is your mobo? |

There are a few good Socket T (775) coolers, the Thermalright 120 Extreme is a passive cooler and you can get a Delta HF focused fan, they're loud and expensive but they push about 180CFM for the 120mm version!
There is the Zalman CNPS9500/9700 which is an all-copper cooler with a fan in the middle, looks quite pretty. Another easier to fit option is the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro but it's massive.

So this cheap-o will not work for a "normal" P4 Processor? Or are the differences in the Prescott chips only inside the chip, not physical differences Here is MY processor information ![]() Last edited by rbxslvr; 07-02-2007 at 01:32 PM. |
