Default p4 and celeron

Hi all. Which laptop processor is faster? Intel pentium 4 mobile or Intel Celeron?

The Pentium 4 is far better, but even the P4's are outdated. If your looking to buy a new laptop, you can find some cheap ones on eBay with Pentium M's, although Core (2) Duo's would be the best.

+1 for P4. But I would do as OMEGA says and get an M or C2D.

It depends on which celeron you are talking about......

Some of celeron's are based on Pentium M or Core architecture, and those can easily beat Pentium 4 at the same clock speed.

However, Celeron's based on NetBurst architecture would perform much slower than Pentium 4 at the same clock speed

True, but because he's comparing a Pentium 4 to a Celeron, i'm guessing it's the Celeron based off the P4, and not a Celeron M.

Let me clear up my doubts and rephrase my question.
I am actually refering to a pentium 4 mobile processor vs an intel celeron mobile processor.
So from all the response gathered on top, so it means that a pentium 4 mobile is actually slower than a celeron mobile right?
