Default My "Freezing" Computer!!!

When we first got the computer from the pawn shop I said, "O.K. a challenge and a possible lemon." Well anyway its an older gateway, not that old and pretty much it was giving us problems from the get-go. We have had to take it to the computer shop 4 TIMES since we got the thing!!! Well this time when we got it back my parents said if anything happened and it was my fault they would punish me. Well this time it is freezing up. I think there is spyware on my computer or something so somebody help me.

Try Spybot S&D, CCleaner, AVG AntiVirus (and anti-spyware), Adaware, and Microsoft's Anti-Malware. (all free... just google them)

keep in mind that it could, however, be a hardware problem
