Dual Monitors.

hey, i have just got a 19" Samsung TV and i thought i'd try using it as a second monitor on my laptop, just for fun

.

i have a problem though, when i first set it up it all worked fine.

but now for some reason the display on the TV is always Huge, as in i have to move the mouse to the top and bottom of the screen to see it all etc...
changing the resolution does nothing.

can anyone help?

try unplugging the monitor, seeting everything up with just your laptop monitor, then plugging it back in again

doesnt make a difference :S

can anyone else help? i dont understand why it is doing this.. its like my laptop things the monitor is bigger than it actually is...

the samsung TV is operating at a lower resolution than your laptop then, yes? I had this problem when i used my widescreen TFT as a 2nd onitor temporaril;y on my OLD laptop, i didnt find a way of fixing it unfortunately, but i didnt spend too long looking as it wasnt a big deal.

Logically you would have to either match the resolutions (turn the laptops down) or find a way to increase the res on the TV.

You might want to investigate some 3rd party apps that might help you, try ultramon, its not free but its powerful and it has a trial version

the strange thing is that it was working before, but not now
