Default What's faster?

Ok Ok. Now I know why my computer is running at only DDR333.

If you want DDR 400, you only can use 2 of the 3 dimm slots. If you use all 3 dimm slots, then you will reach a maximum of DDR333.

What's faster then? 2.5 gigs(2x1024 & 1x512) DDR333 or 2 gigs(2x1024) DDR400??? Does it matter if my FSB is 400 MHZ on my AMD proccessor?

Sounds like you have a pretty old system anyways, most likely an AMD 754 based or pre-LGA775 motherboard. So I would say that 2GB of DDR400 is more then enough for your system.

Just check if your mobo support DDR 400 Ram.

Sounds like it does, but memory that has 3 slots downclocks the RAM if all 3 slots are used.

As everyone else is saying, Go with the 2gb DDR 400.

You won't ever use that extra 512MB Ram anyway.

2GB is Plenty

You have to check if your motherboard is capable of running the memory at 200Mhz (DDR400). If it won't, stick with the DDR333.

He already told us that his motherboard supports DDR400, but runs at DDR333 when all 3 slots are filled.
