No problem. Keep in mind that the P31 and P35 series, although compatible, require a CMOS flash to run the processors. If you feel unconfortable or afraid to do this, the 780i and X38 natively support 45nm's, thus you don't need to flash the CMOS.
As for right now, I'm still debating how this is going to work. The E8400 excels at gaming and the Q6600 blows multitasking away.
