old p2
on the old stick prosser is there a way to tell the speed with out booting it.
i need this for the p2 ad p3.

Some I have had has a sticker on the side of the processor, but some dont.

these dont have stickers just numbers that when booted they mean nothing to tell the speed.

If it boots it should say the speed in systems properites. Think thay made them from 233mhz through 400mhz and a few 450mhz I think

I had a P3 400Mhz, no sticker either.

If its still in its black case, look on the top for some numbers, I dont think they even put it on the core on those slot Pen II and IIIs. Like one of mine has a second set of numbers in the first row SL2S7 comes up as a 400mhz

All P2/P3 slot cpus use a "black" case. They heat up too fast though... had a 700MHz at stock speeds freeze cause of an HS only , no fan. Hot glued a fan on and it ws perfect.
