Yeah, you're right, it's almost certainly RAID 5, but I can't get any information on it. The number is on the picture of it if you want to look it up and make sure, but I can't find anything that says exactly it.

i really want a rack mount server to toss in my closet and then a bunch of HUGE hard disks for media storage and then stream all my movies and music to my tv/stereo via my laptop wirelessly, but I have no room in my apartment and really need to spend money elsewhere.

keep in mind these older servers use scsi hdd's which cost alot...also, the servers will support RAID 0,1,5 as long as they have the adaptec RAID card.

what lengths of Cat5 do you have? How much would you want for it?
