Hellooo, btw
I'm Sarah! I'm looking for a laptop for the long years of 6th form and uni that await me, and because I am completely computer illiterate, I thought I would ask for some help! (: I want something that will store my music on (not huuuge amounts, but a fair bit!), a few pictures (I'm a bit into photography, but keep most of my stuff on a pen drive!), microsoft works (word etc, for my coursework!), and obv. with a wireless internet thing! And that's pretty much it, I think... and not too big, because I'll be carrying it around with me, and I would prefer it if I could buy it in a shop, so I can play on the keyboard and stuff (am a fussy person when it comes to typing!). As I'm a poor student I can't afford a huge amount, but anything up to £400 really! The cheaper the better as my pony is feeling neglected and would like something pretty! ![]() Thank you tons in advance! ETA: Ohh, I'm in the UK aussi (: ! |

the best thing u can do is just go to a shop and pick out one thats within ur budget and that u think looks the best.. any laptop u buy brand new these days will do all of what u want.. its when u actualy want to play games that u have to fork out alot of money.. as for what brand to buy.. im not really 100% anymore because they all use pretty much the same parts however i do know accer are fairly cheap and look pretty nice
![]() however if u want a mac they look REALLY sleek and all white

yeah but i dont think he will be able to afford a MAC on that budget
here are the things you should try and get in a laptop if you want it to last: dual core processor 1 GB RAM built-in (integrated) wireless internet and you will probably want around an 80GB harddrive

http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/stor...ory_oid=-27405 just look in all the electronics stores you can pick up something decent, as a guideline i would say minimum: 60GB hard drive 1GB RAM DVD Drive 1.7GHz Processor (Dual Core)
