Default I need a new laptop any suggestions?

My laptop is 5 years old and is in need of replacement. I'm looking for a state-of-the-art laptop and have a $7,500 budget. Can anyone point me in a good direction? DirectX 10 compatability is prefered.

Myself i always thought one of these would be cool. These things can withstand quite a bit.

But if you're looking for pure speed this is pretty fast, would be good for gaming.

Those toughbooks are pretty cool. On a mission trip I went on, one of the chaperone's was a cop. She had one for me to play with. Touchscreen and the works. Hers was only a P3 though not a Duo. Still quite fun. Would withstand a drop off a cliff.

$7500?!?!? go straight to the VooDoo web site and start building an uber laptop!! infact, let me build it for you and ship one to you and one to me.
seriously, unless youre plotting the course for the space shuttle, you dont need a $7500 laptop. $4000 is way up there even...

I think that a toughbook would be one of the best solutions if you're an 'outdoors' person, but if you're not going to be on hiking trips, theres a couple of other laptops I'd recommend. If you post back what you want for the minimum specs, I'll see what I can do.

he said he wants a laptop with DX10 so he obviously wants to play games on it.. that ugly explorers laptop is junk! it has an intergrated GPU a measly 80gb hdd and only 512mb ram with a sad 13" screen.. it would be lucky to pull off pacman.. dude if i was u and ur spending $7500?!?! DAMN go to alienware and check out their laptops they make great gaming ones and they look sweet too

http://www.alienware.com/product_det...de=SKU-DEFAULT

or there is this one on newegg thats awesome

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834117539

But if u really want to play the newer games comming out get a desktop.. with the sort of mony u want to spend u could get the best pc out
