Default processors?

AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile TL-50 (1.6GHz / 1MB

Base: Inspiron 9400 Core 2 Duo Processor T7200 (2.0 GHz

Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz CPU with Hyperthreading Technology

hi guys which of the above three processors would you recommend(fastest etc)

The Core 2 Duo is the best choice.

anyone else have any thoughts,the main use is for video editing.
possibly the odd game .

howdoes a 3.4 ghz single processor compare to a 1.6 dualcore .

alot better i should think,Even though its a lower speed it can do more things quicker been dual core.

thanks,
iam doing alotof searchingtoday for the right laptopfor my budget ,i was tring to get dedicated graphics for games but for my budget not many have it.

i saw a laptop on ebay which said this ( Graphics Dedicated (NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7300 256MB Dedicated increased with Turbo Cache)

are they dedicated or not ?

i'm confused by the turbocache part

you can increase the amount of memory available for your GFX with this,But it steals more from the system memory

Most if not all of laptops have non-upgradable video cards, so no, most likely the video card can not be changed.

And in order of best to worst, I would say:

1.) Core 2 Duo
2.) AMD Turion X2
3.) Pentium 4

7300 wont be able to play very many games at high detail but should be able to cope with some recent games on low settings

thanks everyone for the great advice, allwelcome.

i will make my mind up soon which one to get, everytime i see one that looks good i see something on the specs that it is missing or not up to the job.

i guess a compromise is in order.
