Default Computer freezing

Hi, I have a little problem. I was watching some streaming videos on the internet through media player on firefox. The last three times i have done so my whole pc has just froze. No mouse, cannot ctrl, alt, delete. so have to hit the reset button. the last time it happened it restarted itself. Could this be my OC'd cpu going wrong? Please tell me its not

It could be the RAM. Downclock the CPU and if it still freezes then I would be pointing to the RAM. Take one stick out and run the system. IF there were still freezes, then switch to the other stick. With each stick run Memest86.

Yeah i have Speedfan, CPU-Z and TAT also orthos though i have yet to use that to test. would orthos show where the problem might lie in a stress test?

I have underclocked it a couple of hours ago, just to about 2.8ghz. I havent tried the streaming media yet so i must do that. Could it really be the ram. Its pretty good ram Corsair XMS2. I hope not.

I tried IE and it doesent happen on the same site on the same video, although media player 11 plugin looks different on firefox. I tried a few different websites to test firefox and it hasnt crashed. This is odd.

Guess downclocking helped. You overclocked it too much.
