Im not sure, i dont think it is....but if your wanting a 64bit OS you would want to get vista x64, 64bit XP has very little drivers as its not a popular os

No it's not, the only version of XP thats 64 bit is XP Pro x64. I wouldnt recommend it though, I would look into the 64 bit version of Vista.

Out of my own curiosity, are there drivers for the 8800 cards with a 64-bit OS? I am really considering Vista Home Prem x64 or Ultimate x64.

If a product has drivers for Vista, 99% of them will have them for both 32 and 64 bit versions. XP Pro x64 is different, because it was never really popular.

So to answer your question, yes, nVidia and ATI have drivers for every version of Windows pretty much.

yeah, if it has drivers for Vista, I am scared to get it. Will Photoshop CS3 work? Will BF2, HL2, CS:S, BF2142, AOE3?

Thanks

I've used CS3, HL2, CSS, AoE2, among with many others and they all work fine. I had an issue with punkbuster and the BF2142 demo, but that may have been fixed in a recent patch.

Okay, I know I can change options in Vista, will it support Xfire, Daemon Tools, Fraps, PS Elements 5, and Audacity?

I am concerned about BF2, my fav game.

Thanks

I can't say for certain because I havent used them all under Vista. But I know Fraps works, and I would imagine Xfire and PS Elements will also work. The others may, but I dont know, especially Daemon Tools.

BF2 works well but, you have to "run as admin", which that is kinda pointless That is the problem with Punkbuster that is solved by doing that. Daemon tools works well and I heard Xfire wouldn't.
