Default What wont run on Windows Vista 64bit Home premium?

What wont run on Windows Vista 64bit Home premium?

So far I've been told all 32bit will be fine, just 16bit.

What do you know doesn't run? and what kind of programs are 16bit?

Thank you.

16 bit apps are very old, I highly doubt you have any 16 bit apps, because I believe any app made after Windows 95 or 98 was 32-bit.

There are a few 32 bit apps that wont work under 64 bit versions of Vista, but for the most part anything that works with Vista x86 will worth with Vista x64.

Coz alot of shops have told me they are no longer selling 64 bit operating systems due to incompatability. So I wouldnt be making a mistake getting the 64 bit version?

As I mainly use ventrillo, xfire, msn and play games such as call of duty 2, battlefield 2142, command and conquer 3 and guild wars.

What kind of stores say they dont sell 64 bit OS's anymore??

The fact is, 64 bit is the future, and i'm going to say that within a year if you dont have one, you are going to be behind the times. One of the major facts that I think is pushing 64 bit OS's is the ability to have over 4GB of RAM, and be able to use it.

As for those games, i've played most of them on Vista Business x64 and they run fine, except BF2/2142 Demo had issues with Punkbuster, but I believe it was fixed in either a patch or by running it as an admin.

Well Mesh computers are only selling 32 bit vista. I've also read that Dell and PC World will not be selling prebuilt systems with 64 bit due to incompatibility.
