I am thinking about setting up a web hosting business as well as using servers for other purposes, I live in southern California and from looking at the cost of rent here as well as other factors such as the need to possibly use air conditioning much of the year I think that it would be much more cost effective to set up an operation somewhere outside of the state, I am wondering if anyone has any advice on what areas are good for this. Ideally it would be in city where I could potentially hire employees skilled in server management at some point in the future.

I am originally from northern California and I think that there could possibly be some good places to set it up there (my parents live there so I already visit fairly often) and the costs here could be cheaper but then again it can still get hot in the summer, I'd appreciate any input. Thanks
