Hi all.
Um, gone though some ram... I had pc2700 512mb rubbish ram in pc. and it lags/takes age to install and play games, lags like crazy on World of Warcraft So i bort new ram... The stuff works on its own... but not in is set (2x256mb geil pc3200) and thats also slow... so ive jst got new stuff.... one stick of 3200 512mb and that works on its own, but is still slow... try all pc3200 togther... turn on pc... green screen, then black... computer sounds like running, but dosent actaully turn on (monitor lite flashes) Try any of the ram with any other pieces... same again... load default bios settings... same still... any ideas??? Its a K8n Neo Platinum MSI board 3400+ athlon 63bit winchester 120gig maxtor HD ati 9800pro ram (erm....) nice one Byte |

Sounds like a ram port problem. I had a PC where if I put in a 3rd stick of ram in the middle port it would only run in 16 colors (not 16bit) and 640x480 res. You might wanna try just 1 stick in each port (go down the line testing) and see if it loads on all the attempts.
