I'm getting bored, so I want to try dual booting vista and linux. I'm going to look into it on google, but before I actually do anything, I just wanted to ask if there's anything I should know/do first. (I also want to know what version of Linux to run)
Thanks. *edit* I should inform you that I'm using 1 HDD so I'll need to partition (info on the size of the partition would also be great)

Ok as far as a partition goes, it really depends on how much space you want to work with. So you have a 250GB hard drive. You probably want to devote at least 30GB of space so you have some flexibilty.
I really don't know which version of Linux you should run... I heard some thing about Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

well i did it, (i'm on linux now) but now the grub thing isnt showing the vista partition when i startup.
This has happened to other people, and I followed their instructions to fix it, but with no success.

I have used a tutorial from this source before and it went fine. You can try it if you are still unsuccessful
